Arjuna Bark (Terminalia Arjuna) : For healthy Heart


Arjuna bark has been used from more than 3000 years in ayurvedic treatment. Arjuna tree is well known plant for its cardiac benefits. Arjuna tree is found in India, Sri-Lanka and Myanmar etc.

Biological Name: Terminalia Arjuna belonging to the family Combretaceae.

Part used: Bark

Chemical Constituents: Arjuna bark contains mainly triterpene glycosides, termiarjunoside I and II, arjunetoside, oleanolic acid, arjunolic acid, arjunic acid and cardenolide along with other constituents.

Uses:
Terminalia Arjuna is used in disorders of heart and blood vessels and related chest pains. Also used in high blood pressure and high cholesterol level.
Terminalia Arjuna is also a very good hepato - protector and used in liver preparations (HeptoLiv Plus).
It is helpful in removing small Kidney Stone.
It is helpful in relieving insomnia, dizziness, poor concentration and headache problem.
It is also used in respiratory conditions such as respiratory infections, cough and sore throat.
It is also used in dysentery.
It is also used in digestive disorders like diarrhea and constipation etc.
It is a very good antioxidant property.
