How to prevent getting lifestyle diseases including heart attack ?
Firstly we
have to understand the difference between lifestyle disorders and infectious
diseases. To treat infectious disease is somewhat easy to treat as compare to
lifestyle diseases or disorders.
Wild animals
do not get heart attack, blood pressure, diabetes or stroke because these are life
style disorders. But when come to pet animals and Zoo animals --- these
diseases can occur.
The biggest
problem --- we don’t have any cure for most of lifestyle disorders. How can we
treat these diseases? For bacterial and viral infections, we can research at
their activity toward antibacterial or antiviral drugs.
For lifestyle
disorders --- we can only say --- prevention is better than cure.
Now,
toughest challenge -- how can we prevent from these diseases or disorders?
Everyone has their own remedies and advices for this. But whether it work or
not – we can’t say.
Most of
lifestyle disorders are linked with obesity and obesity is linked with our diet
and work. In our grandfathers time, people used to eat Desi Ghee, Gur, sugar
candy etc but percentage of lifestyle disorders was negligible.
Today, we
skip sugar, oil, fat etc in our diet – even then life style disorders occur.
What
is reason behind this?
Reason is
clear – they used to of unrefined and natural form of products and that was
acceptable by our body system. Today, we use all products that are processed,
refined and chemically treated – in this process products natural form disappears.
When come to
work or exercise – we have become habitual to rest or comport zone. We don’t
want to go out and play or exercise. Exercise is essential for those who don’t do
physical work. Along with physical work or exercise -- one most important thing
we have to maintain is our diet.
Use natural
form of any product whether it is fruit’s vitamins, minerals, proteins or we
use medicinal products.
Traditionally
Indian sages knew about lifestyle disorders so they promoted having fast for at
least 80 days in year at different intervals. Fast has uncounted benefits along
with exercise and diet. Having fast in a week may helpful in clearing toxins
from body and also provide rest to our internal body system – provide recovery
time from injury or damages.
