Ashwagandharishta: Tonic for mental and gastric health

Ashwagandharishta is a good nervion tonic mainly used for mental fatique. It is effective in metal disorders, stomach disorders and sexual disorders.

Ashwagandharishta Ingredients

Ø  Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifra)
Ø  shatavari (Asparagus ascendens)
Ø  kudzu (Pueraria tuberose)
Ø  Arjuna (Teminalia arjuna)
Ø  Kshirini (Hemidesmu indicus)
Ø  Indian sandalwood (Santalum album) etc.

Ashwagandharishta Indications:

Ø  Weakness
Ø  Mental disorders like stress and strains
Ø  Fatigue
Ø  Sexual disorders like erectile dysfunction and oligospermia
Ø  Arthritis
Ø  Stomach Disorders like poor digestion etc.

Ashwagandharishta Doses:

12 – 24 ml. one or two times a day usually advised after food. If needed, equal quantity of water can be added before consumption. Traditional dose is – 24 ml.
Ashwagandharishta  Side Effects:

 In higher doses, it causes digestive upset.

Ashwagandharishta  Contraindications:

In pregnancy or lactation, it should be avoided or used under medical supervision. It should also avoid in peptic ulcer and thyroid.
