Asafoetida Asafoetida is the dried  latex  (gum  oleoresin ) exuded from the  rhizome  or  tap root  of several species of  Ferula , a  perennial   herb  that grows 1 to 1.5 m tall. The species is native to the deserts of  Iran , mountains of  Afghanistan , and is mainly cultivated in nearby  India .As its name suggests, asafoetida has a fetid smell but in cooked dishes it delivers a smooth flavor reminiscent of  leeks . Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a stemless or very short-stemmed succulent plant growing to 60–100 cm (24–39 in) tall, spreading by offsets. The leaves are thick and fleshy, green to grey-green, with some varieties showing white flecks on their upper and lower stem surfaces. The margin of the leaf is serrated and has small white teeth. Ajwain ,  ajowan  or  ajwan , also  carom  ( Trachyspermum ammi ) is an  annual   herb  in the family  Apiaceae .  Both the leaves and the fruit pods (often mistakenly called seeds) of the plant are used for human consumption. The plant is also called  bishop's weed , but this is a common name it shares with some other different plants. The 'seed' (i.e., the fruit pod) is often confused with  lovage  seed Medicinal Uses Ajwain seeds have long been used in traditional ayurvedic and unani medicines for various ailments.
